Name Rosemount Diamond Label

Category: Pinot Noir

Region Southeastern Australia

Year: 2014

Winery Review: On the nose fragrant red berry fruits; red cherries raspberries; supported by sweet earthy spice notes of cinnamon and nutmeg. The palate is bright and lively with  flavors of cherry and raspberry are supported by a soft creamy texture, providing a long and elegant finish.

My Review: This wine was a pretty light red wine and had a "perfume" like aroma. With that kind of smell, I was expecting the wine to be floral in the taste. However, the wine had a very fruity and berry like flavor. It tasted a lot like strawberries and raspberries. However, I couldn't taste the spice in the wine which was mentioned in the Winery Review. Even though it was a red wine, it wasn't full- bodied. I wasn't a big fan for the sharpness of the wine which made me not like it. I would love to pair this up with meats like beef or turkey.
