Vintage Wine Tastings: Tabali Camrenere
Name: tabali
Category: Reserva Carmenere
Region: Cachapool Valley, Chile
Year: 2012
Price: $15
Winery Review: Dark, statuesque wine with concentrated, potent aromas of black olive, herbs and mulled blackberry. Tastes like textbook Carmenère, but without any jammy overripeness. Flavor of racy spiced berry, olive and black pepper are all good, and there's that patented herbal, roasted quality on the finish, but not too much.
My Review: This wine had a very beautiful plum like color to it. When I first taste this wine, I really liked its plum like flavors. It had sight herby flavor which I did not like. It had strong tannins which were too strong for my taste. I would love to have this wine with steak.
